Chateau de Lartigolle
having met this beautiful scottish couple back in the spring, I was very much looking forward to photographing their wedding. I knew there was going to be lots of music and dancing as they had arranged a ceilidh band.
Chateau de Lartigolle is one of my favourite venues. It is absolutely charming. The team go above and beyond to ensure the weekend and the wedding day especially, flow.
for this weekend in june, we were blessed with sun……but maybe a little too much. With temperatures set to reach 36-38 degrees by 5 pm the couple and the venue decided it would be more comfortable for everyone to move the ceremony from the meadow to the cave. as you can see, it was just as beautiful. Fairy lights, flowers, some decor and above all, a constant nice and cool temperature.
drinks were held on the back terrace and as it is bordered by great oaks, there was shade for guests to stand and watch the speeches, cool down with fans and drinks from the outdoor bar.
Lartigolle always keep the comfort of their clients in mind. The dinner held in the courtyard does not start until the tables are in shade. It is worth the wait.
dinner and speeches out of the way, the band sets ups and the first dance under the trees in the courtyard, with string lights and guests holding sparklers - it just makes for a magical scene.
and then the ceilidh started. it was wild!
