I can honestly say that I had the best time photographing the wedding of T & E. A German/English (Australian) love story - this couple just really got each other. You could see the friendship, love and respect for each other from the moment I first met them for their pre wedding session in Lectoure (we got some beautiful shots. I'll be adding this to the Stories section.
I really believe that because we had met a couple of days before, the couple were more relaxed around me and from that, I capture better moments throughout the day.
It was a warm day in July, family and friends had travelled from the States through to Australia and what better place to meet and celebrate than at Chateau de Puissentut in south west France.
They had a LOT of confetti - you can never have too much and some speeches during the apero (which I think helps with the flow of the day if you have more than a couple of speeches). There was a lot of emotion - tears and laughter and lots of dancing. We even had some gorgeous late evening light. E sent me a voice message following their receipt of the gallery. In it he said (I've skipped some words):
'We've gone through so many of the pictures. Just amazing memories and everything you want pictures to do, and what your pictures achieved for us. We loved having you on that day with us.'
They have printed the photos and put them around their house.
